Cardiovascular diseases caused about 18 million deaths in 2019, representing 32% of all global deaths. In addition, these figures are added to its chronic nature, a fact that affects the quality of life of patients, generating dependency, risk of complications, and very high health and socioeconomic costs.
Despite there being many diseases that affect cardiovascular health, the most frequent are arterial hypertension, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and cerebrovascular accident or stroke. In these diseases, prevention is a key factor, and despite having risk factors such as age or genetic predisposition, healthy lifestyle habits are very important to reduce the affectation.
