This August marked the beginning of the 2025 harvest, and the first apples to see the light are, as tradition has it, the Royal Gala. Year after year, this variety opens the season with its characteristic color, gentle sweetness, and a crisp texture that everyone loves.
After a winter with good water reserves and a stable spring, flowering developed under ideal conditions. This has contributed to balanced ripening, and the first apples we have picked show excellent quality: good size, intense color, and a fruity flavor with just the right touch of acidity.
A first-class Royal Gala
The Royal Gala is a variety renowned for its visual appeal —with shades ranging from deep red to golden yellow— and for its sweet, mild flavor. It is perfect both for enjoying fresh and for adding to recipes or healthy breakfasts.
This year, the fruit has reached an optimal sugar level, the result of a perfect balance between hours of sunshine and timely irrigation in the months leading up to the harvest. The outcome is a fresh, aromatic, and especially flavorful apple.
A campaign that begins with enthusiasm
Although the summer has been warm, the cool nights of July helped enhance the apples’ color, one of the key ripeness indicators for the Royal Gala.
With this harvest, we launch a new campaign full of energy, with the goal of continuing to offer our customers desserts made with local fruit —healthy and full of the flavor of our land.
Upcoming varieties, ready to arrive
In the coming weeks, other varieties will join the harvest calendar, such as Golden, Fuji, and Granny Smith. Each has its own unique characteristics and virtues, but they all share the same commitment: quality, flavor, and respect for nature.
