Over 50 years caring for fruit: the origin of the flavor of Anela Fruits

There are things that cannot be rushed. Time, experience, and care are three of them. At Anela Fruits, we have been working the land for over 50 years, growing apples and pears with one idea in mind: doing things right, from the very beginning.

We are not just fruit dessert producers. First and foremost, we are growers. And that changes everything.

The value of starting from the tree

Controlling the fruit from its origin allows us to understand it, respect it, and work with it properly. Every decision we make —from planting to harvest— directly influences the final result.

This connection to the land gives us something that cannot be manufactured: judgment.

We know when fruit is at its optimal point. We know when to wait. We know when a harvest will be exceptional… or more challenging. And this accumulated experience over decades is what ultimately defines the real quality of our products.

50 years are not just history, they are knowledge

Over the years, we have learned that quality is not accidental. It is the result of many small, well-made decisions over time.

Each season teaches us something new. Every year is different. And this ability to adapt, based on experience, is what allows us to maintain consistent quality year after year.

For us, tradition is not about looking back. It’s about knowing what works and why.

Climate: the invisible ingredient

The flavor of fruit does not depend only on the variety or the harvest time. There is a key factor that often goes unnoticed: climate.

In the case of our apples, we grow them in Alt Empordà. There, the combination of proximity to the sea and the mountains creates unique conditions: temperature contrasts, natural ventilation, and a very particular light. All of this directly influences the fruit’s development, providing balance, aroma, and texture.

Pears, on the other hand, require a different environment. That’s why our orchards are located in La Selva and Gironès, areas with higher humidity. These conditions allow pears to grow with the softness and juiciness that define them.

Each territory has its role. And we have learned to listen to it.

Quality you can taste, because it comes from afar

When we say our products are 100% natural, it is not just a label. It is the result of a process that begins long before reaching the packaging.

Working with our own harvest allows us to guarantee full traceability and ensure that every product reflects who we are: a family business that believes in doing things well, respecting nature’s rhythm, and valuing origin.
